Genesis chapters 33, 34 & 35

In chapters 33 and 34 are Jacob returning to Caanan with all his family and wealth. He meets with Esau and they reconcile with each other over the stolen birthright. And then Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite defiled Dinah the daughter of Leah, and after the Hivite men agreed to be circumcised so that Shechem could marry Dinah and they daughters of the land could marry Jacobs sons. However, the sons of Jacob after the men has circumcised themselve came and killed them all and took their wives and daughters. Jacob was not pleased with this as it would bring the wrath of the inhabitance of the land against him

35:1 And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell
there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto
thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother.

So they left and followed God's instruction.

35:9 And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of
Padanaram, and blessed him.

35:10 And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not
be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he
called his name Israel.

35:11 And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and
multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee,
and kings shall come out of thy loins;

35:12 And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will
give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land.

And Jacob called this place that God talked to him Bethel. Rachel dies giving birth to Benjamin and is buried in Bethleham. And Jacob's son Rueben lay with Rachel's handmaid Bilhah and Jacob heard of this.

And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city
of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.
And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years.
And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto
his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and
Jacob buried him.
